Wooden Arrow Jewelry Hanger

Since I learned to make jewelry, my collection of accessories has grown to an extraordinary size. It has gotten to the point where I need something to organize all of my creations, so I thought it would be fun to DIY some wall hangers. I wanted to make something that would look good on the wall with or without jewelry, so I chose to create these fun and colorful arrows. I think they look great as a wall decoration, but they function great as jewelry organizers too.

After the paint is completely dry, wrap some wire around the arrows for a bit of gilded decoration. Trim the wire close to the dowel.

Divide the clay into quarters and roll them into spheres. Shape arrowheads with your fingers. I found that inserting the dowel into the arrowheads before they were completely finished made them easier to attach to the dowel after they were baked.

Trim the edges of the arrowheads with an X-acto knife to get precise edges. Bake them according to the directions on your clay.

To create a hanger with two crossed arrows, saw one of the dowels in half at an angle. Glue the whole arrow down first. Afterward, glue the two halves of the sawed arrow one either side of the whole arrow.
