Travel Eye Mask

For long haul flights, I look forward to relaxing soon after take-off. This travel eye mask is perfect for blocking out extra light so I can get some rest before reaching my destination. It’s small and light, which makes it easy to throw in my carry on. The patchwork pattern is a fun way to use a set of matching fabrics, and I like how the two sides are different, making the mask reversible!

Cut your piece of elastic. Mine was 15 inches, but the length will vary based on your head size. The elastic band needs to be able to hold the mask in place without being too tight.

Place the elastic between your fabric, with the right sides facing in. Then sew along the outside of your mask, leaving an opening about an inch long.
