    Gather your materials.

    Cut your gray and plum clay blocks into eight equal sized pieces each. Then cut the white clay blocks into quarters.

    Roll out a block of each color into three thin cylinders. Then twist them together.

    Squash the twisted cylinders into a ball and re-roll it out into a new cylinder.

    Fold the cylinder in half and twist it. Then squash the twist and roll it into another cylinder. You’ll see the colors starting to blend together in thin lines.

    Fold the cylinder in half and twist it a final time. When you squash it, roll it between your palms in a circular motion to create a ball.

    Use the knife end of your clay tools to make a slit in each ball.

    Bake the clay according to the instructions on the package. Then slip a photo or card into the slit to create a display!
