Agate Pendant

Agate and geodes are a big trend in jewelry right now. I've seen this type of agate slice necklace in stores, but held off on buying one because I knew it'd be a simple DIY. My favorite thing about this necklace is that it can transition seamlessly from day to evening. I love it equally paired with a casual tank top or a little black dress.

When the adhesive is no longer wet-looking but still sticky to touch, apply the gold leaf sheet. Press it down with your fingers, making sure it gets into all of the bumps along the edge. The transparent backing will lift away from the gold leaf, leaving it adhered to the agate.

Go over it with a dry brush to smooth everything down. As you do this, the extra bits of leaf hanging off the edges will tear away.

Next, apply the gold leaf sealer. It looks white in the small pot, but will dry clear.
